Birmingham City manager John Eustace was full of praise for summer signing Keshi Anderson.
The 28-year-old is proving to be the Blues’ bargain of the summer, after the club didn’t spend a penny to bring him in.
Anderson signed for Birmingham after impressing on trial during pre-season, earning himself a one-year-deal, with the club holding an option to extend it for another year.
He came through the academy at Crystal Palace and has spent time at Swindon, helping them win League Two in 2020. He then joined Blackpool the summer after, spending three season at the club, including the 20/21 season, where they were promoted to the Champions via the play-offs
He joined Birmingham after leaving Blackpool at the end of his contract at the Tangerines. He only made nine appearances for them last season due to injuries, as they were relegated to League One.
What John Eustace had to say

This season he has already started as many games as he did last season, and he impressed in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Millwall. He won the penalty which Scott Hogan went on to miss, but his ball carrying ability and control in tight spaces showed the quality Anderson brings to the team, which Eustace has noticed.
“I think he has been very good all season, the five or six games he has played he has been magnificent, he is only going to go and get better,” Eustace told Birmingham Mail.
“I loved meeting him in pre-season, he said ‘I am hungry, I have got a point to prove and I want to play for Birmingham City’. Those are the kind of characters I want at this football club.
“We are working class, we look after each other and Keshi typifies all that. The way he has stuck to his task is fantastic and we are fortunate he is here.”
