Birmingham City manager John Eustace has issued a message to youngster Junior Dixon after being called up to the Blues bench midweek.
The 18-year-old was named as an unused substitute in the 2-1 loss at Preston North End on Tuesday night.
“Junior has been outstanding in the 21s. We had a behind closed doors friendly last week and he was very good in that. He is a good young prospect,” Eustace told Birmingham Live.
“Junior has got to keep working hard and knocking on the door, and he will get his opportunity eventually.”
Who is Junior Dixon?

Dixon is a striker who joined in the summer following the expiry of his contract at Premier League side Crystal Palace.
He has been in red hot form for the Under-21 side, scoring five goals in six games for Steve Spooner’s side.
His impressive form lead to Eustace giving him a chance in a behind closed doors friendly, which then lead to a place on the bench for the first team on Tuesday evening.
Dixon may find opportunities hard to come by upfront with the likes of Jay Stansfield starring for the Blues in recent weeks after joining on loan at the end of last month from Premier League side Fulham.
So far Stansfield has scored three goals in four games in the Championship, netting the only Birmingham goal against Preston on Tuesday night.
Blue also have other striking options in Scott Hogan and Lukas Jutkiewicz, with Hogan starting all of the previous six league games up front, whilst Jutkiewicz has been out of the squad for the last three games after serving a three-match suspension.
