Birmingham City have been linked with this exciting Liverpool youngster ahead of January.
Birmingham City look to be gearing up for a busy January transfer window, with numerous reports linking players with moves to and from St Andrew’s.
Wayne Rooney has already said he hopes to see changes in the coming weeks and there’s suggestions that several fringe players could be moved on.
In turn, several names have been linked with a move to Birmingham City in the New Year, with one being James Beadle and another Kaide Gordon.
TEAMtalk have recently revealed that the former Derby County youngster, who previously worked under Rooney at Pride Park, is of interest to Blues.
An ‘exceptional talent’, says Jurgen Klopp
Gordon, 19, rose through he youth ranks at Derby County, making just the one league appearance under Rooney before being snapped up by Liverpool in 2021.
Since, the Englishman has made a handful of first-team appearances for the Reds, with one of those coming in the Premier League.
But TEAMtalk say that Liverpool are considering loaning him out in the New Year and that Birmingham City are keen, along with Championship rivals Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough.
Klopp is a huge admirer of Gordon’s, recently saying of the winger:
“Kaide is always in our mind, because he’s just an exceptional talent. He’s here as long as he’s fit, he’s always in my mind and then we will see where that exactly leads.”
Rooney has already been linked with some familiar faces since arriving at Birmingham City, with numerous reports tipping him to raid Derby County for names like Max Bird and Eiran Cashin.

Could Birmingham City pull this one off?
The Rooney factor is obviously a plus for Birmingham City here.
Gordon has worked under him before and he was given his debut by him too, but with Birmingham City’s form not so great right now, it could be tough.
Middlesbrough aren’t in the best form either having fallen down to 13th in recent weeks, whilst Ipswich are obviously flying high, so the Tractor Boys could be a much more attractive proposition for Liverpool and Gordon.
And expect there to be more than just these three mentioned teams taking a look at Gordon ahead of January.
He’s a highly-rated player with a big future and Liverpool will do their due diligence before sending him out on loan, and hopefully watching him prosper in the second half of the season.
Blues certainly need additions and Rooney might well be eyeing up some attacking players who can come in and fit his style of play.
Gordon might well be such a player, but this could be a difficult pursuit for Blues.
